Another House Update

Things with the house have moved very smoothly so far.  We countered the offer given to us, and the buyers accepted it without any further countering.  The home inspection was last Wednesday, and we were asked to do 3 VERY minor things to help the home pass the FHA inspection.  So, we are awaiting an appraisal, and the FHA inspection.  After those two steps, we will schedule closing.  It seems that God has His hand in this, as so far we have not had any issues to overcome.

We are getting excited about finding our next home.  But, now that ours appears to be almost "sold" we are starting to look more seriously (we've been looking since the winter, but not seriously.)  It is funny how what appealed to us before, suddenly has us unsure, now that we CAN look.  I kept telling myself not to fall in love with anything until it was "time" to buy.  Now that it is, it is HARD to decide what we want.  We are still apprehensive as to when to make an offer, because we don't want this deal to fall through on our house.  And we really don't want to have to make contingency offer.  We allowed our buyer possession at closing though, so we will have a "lay-over" between selling and buying.   Thankfully, Mom and Dad Frye are willing to let us stay with them for a stint.  We pray that it won't be too long or too overwhelming.  Imagine... going from just the 2 of them to having our big, busy, noisy family around all of the time!!!

We are blessed to not have to rush to find something.  Please pray for us to find the perfect home where we canspend the next SEVERAL years!  And please pray for Randy and Deb.  They aren't going to know what hit them! LOL ;OP

House Update

For those of you following the house situation... The people who came on Saturday came back yesterday and made us an offer.  I'm not going to disclose that info, but we are pretty happy with it.  We've got some fine tuning to do to clarify some things.  This appears promising and we are a little floored to have such interest so quickly.  I'm not sure I'm "ready" for this to be happening.  But... Here we go!  :O)

We've done so much work on the house in the past 2 1/2 years.  I'm very proud of it.  I'm proud enough to show some pictures that we used for the realtor, if you will let me "brag" a little:

A & Si's Pool Party

I apologize for not getting MORE pictures last night of the boys' pool party.  It was well attended and a lot of fun.  But it is hard to carry a camera around when you are in the water most of the time :O)  We had GREAT weather, and it went off without much of a hitch.  Here are the pictures that I did get:

Living the Whirlwind

Life is beyond hectic still.  My classroom portion of the summer course is done.  A project and a paper await my attention.  Meanwhile, the house went on the market on Thursday.  On Saturday morning, we were notified of our first showing for that afternoon.  We RUSHED to get the house in "showing" state.  The people who saw it are coming back Wednesday, but wanted to be notified if there was interest before then because they said they wanted to make an offer if someone else gets interested.  So... it sounds promising, but I'm not sure that we were prepared for the house to be snatched up in an instant.  We have been pretty realistic, knowing that the housing market hasn't been moving just too much.  We also realize that it is early and things could fall through.  But anyway, I got sidetracked...

In the past couple of weeks, I've missed blogging about Avery's Birthday, Avery's Baptism, VBS, Father's Day, Baseball's end for us, and much much more.  We just haven't known a much busier time.  So, in a nutshell, Avery turned 8 on the 21st, Silas' team finished a great season, and Avery's team beat the undefeated team from the season, and went on to finish second in their tournament.

I'm gonna run and do some trim painting, but I'll leave you with some pictures from our chaos (in VERY random order, for which I apologize!):

Avery reading the paper by Grandpa Randy's fireplace.  Doesn't he look SO grown-up???

Chaille and Grandma Darlene enjoyed a chance to swim while Grandma was on vacation!

Nolan enjoyed using the "boat" to help him swim in the deep end.

Chaille on Avery's shoulders.  Grandma did a good job of hiding in this one, but she's really got her hand on Chey's back!

Avery after a LONG night of baseball.  His team finished 2nd in the tournament!!!

A precious moment.  Chaille reading a book on Grandpa Randy's lap.

Another precious moment.  Chaille reading a book on Papaw Bobby's lap!!

She loves books so much that she sleeps with them!

Silas' baseball awards.  They all get participation trophys.  I love my little Giant!

Brothers doing what brothers do...

One of the most rewarding days of my life. Avery's baptism, June 26, 2011.

We had a picnic at the park and had FUN FUN FUN.

Chaille still just LOVES to swing!

I led preschool games at VBS.  This was bubble night :O)

Avery's birthday cupcake for breakfast!

Can't believe my baby is 8 years old!!!

We wrapped boxes with clues for him to find his gift... a new bike!

Chaille LOVED Vacation Bible School!

Avery met with Mark, the preacher, on Father's Day to discuss his baptism the following Sunday.

Chaille and Grandma Frye were coloring on Father's Day weekend.

3 Generation of Frye men on Father's Day weekend.

Happy Father's Day 2011, to the best dad my children could ever ask for!!!

On Father's Day, we also celebrated Avery and Uncle Scott's Birthdays!
A Father's Day 4 Wheeler ride!
We have had fun watering my flowers and each other this summer! :O)
