Child-like faith. We all need to believe that our prayers will be answered. Hers were answered just moments later when her father turned south. :)
While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.

Chaille funny
Tonight we were on our way to get ice cream after football practice. I hear Chaille in the back seat, in her sweet innocence, pray, "Dear Lord, please let the sun go down, amen." I look back and she is squinting, using her hand to try to block the sun. She waited and soon after said, "He's not doing it fast enough. Didn't he hear me pray?"

Baseball Champs and Football begins
We had our final league baseball games on Tuesday and started football conditioning on Wednesday this week. Amidst all that, I requested to be transferred to High School PE, and moved my stuff over from the elementary. Thankfully, Steve has been on vacation this week! :)
Here are some pictures from this week:
My cousins, Dena and Dennis were in town visiting this week. We enjoyed supper with them on Monday evening.
Because I will be teaching Health this year, I have my own classroom! Tuesday, Chaille and I spent the day moving everything over. It was a fun "girls day." I still have a lot I'd like to do in there, but will wait until next week since Steve is on vacation this week!
We moved all three boys into the bonus room this week. We let them each pick their color to be painted in their own corners of the room. Their room is like a big dormitory. So neat!
The boys won the league! They had their championship game Tuesday evening and they won the game 13-4! Way to go Team Scholl!!! Here are some more pics from the game:
Yesterday Steve and the kids stained and sealed the new play set. (I think Chaille mostly stained her skin!) they loved helping though, and did a decent job!
And finally, last night was Nolan's very first football practice. It was so fun to watch as he was out practicing while the other two boys had conditioning!

July 20 Photo Update
Summer has continued to fly by and we are down to 13 days until school starts. Our schedule is jam packed until then and after then, so my updates will probably be sporadic here! Sorry!
Here are pics from the past week or so:
Last Friday the boys enjoyed having batting practice over at Grant's house. This was the beginning of a long weekend of baseball.
We spent Friday night, all day Saturday, and until past noon on Sunday at Eagle Creek Little League park playing ball. We enjoyed every hot minute out there :-) the picture above was our setup for Saturday. We enjoyed the shade tents!
Avery took a really fast, but wild pitch to the back. He and Spencer had matching battle scars after that game:
This is how the other kids stayed busy during the long day Saturday:
And here are a few pictures of the kids playing and of the 8u and 9u teams:
This is what Nolan and Chaille enjoyed doing at baseball: climbing poles.
The long weekend wore her out:
Sunday night we went to Montana Mikes. Nolan told the waitress that he wanted a dinner that would come with a "flag" in it. She promised him that whatever he wanted would come with a flag. So, he ordered steak bites. He was DELIGHTED when she brought his order with a flag on each bite!
Chaille dressed herself one morning. She wore her brothers boxers with shorty shorts:
Nolan had his Kindergarten shots this week. I've never seen a kid so excited to have shots! He was ready. He can't wait to go to school ALL day. He is most looking forward to being there long enough to have lunch at school. So, since he didn't even cry after his four shots, we went and purchased his lunch box after.
We spent Tuesday-Friday this week with Trisha and her kids. We had a lot of fun and the kids all got along great. I didn't take many pictures while we were together, but we did take some of the kids painting with our homemade sidewalk paint:
The neighbor gave us a play set for the backyard:
We picked up football equipment today. Avery and Silas are Florida Gators this season, and Nolan is a Pittsburg Steeler!
And as I type, the kids are enjoying movie night in the bonus room. Steve is working on painting in here too, because we are going to move Avery and Silas in here where they aren't so crammed. Their room is just too small. We will use their room as a den or an office. They will have the biggest bedroom ever! Haha
