Catching up

I'm always "catching up" on this blog.  That best describes our life right now.  We run to this and that and then catch up when we can.  You know what?  I love it.  I wouldn't trade my life for anyone else's.  I'm quite proud of my family and our life.

Right now Avery and Silas are in all-star football, and all 3 boys are starting their first Little Cougar Basketball practices this week.  Chaille has given up clogging to help with our schedule and is, instead signing up for Park Chapel Basketball for this winter.

The kids are in 6th, 4th, 2nd, and 1st grades and are doing really well.  Some evenings it takes me an hour to check all of their homework!  The first 9 weeks Avery and Silas both had all A's and B's, which is tremendous since they are taking Quest classes.  They are being challenged and they are stepping up and making it look easy.  I'm pretty sure Avery is doing curriculum that I learned late in high school. They make me proud.

Steve started his own business this summer.  He's running Frye and Son's (and daughter) and staying pretty busy.  He has a weekly route of lawns to mow and has done several tree trimming and wood staining projects.  He also has picked up the first of what I imagine may turn into more phone jobs.  He's basically subcontracting from his dad.  He said it was like riding a bike. Lol.

Personally, I can't believe that I'm at the 10 month point at my job.  I have to say that I still like my work and the lack of stress that I bring home with me.  Besides a few negative people that I work with, I really enjoy my days.  I think I would have that anywhere.  I'm actually considering some change, but it would be still here in the building.  I'll explain more later, but for now, I'm keeping it under wraps.

Well, I've got a free afternoon and some things on my mind to work on.  I'll try to check in sooner next time, but you just never know with our busy family!
