I need to...

CATCH UP!!!  Life has gone so quickly and we have been very good and very busy.  I never blogged in October, and we had a vacation in the middle of that.  Look for a picture post soon.  I may not be able to catch up with a big narrative, but I can at least do a photo catch up soon!  Things have been VERY good, and we have no big news, which is good :)

This week

We had a good, busy week once again. Unfortunately this momma is having some issues with pain from what I'm guessing is the prolapse that my doctor diagnosed me with over the summer :-(

Here are some of the highlights of our week:

Chaille told Steve, "I can't wait until you marry me!"

Nolan had two football games. He enjoyed playing center for part of both games.

The older two boys picked up their first win yesterday. Silas played QB for the whole game. The above picture was from a "scrimmage" they had against Coach Brian's 5th and 6th Grade team.

This picture won't mean much to anyone else but me, but I'm so glad it is done. My elective class helped me clean out the equipment closet. It looks SO much better!!!!

Chaille got to come to school with me on Friday. Most of the time it was my prep. But Bayleigh had to go to the doctor, so my mom picked her up at the school from me. We had fun :-)

The boys played Guitar Hero before football yesterday. Silas was lead vocals. Haha

It was a GORGEOUS day to be out at football yesterday. Very fall like and nice.

After football, the boys had a birthday party to attend, and Sarah took Chaille to a party with her. Steve and I enjoyed a date night! :-) Chaille got to have cotton candy, jump in a bounce house, and enjoyed a whole afternoon of one on one with Sarah. We think that is so special!!

In the above picture, we were walking to Tyler's party and Avery had his arm around Nolan. It's hard to see because they were so far ahead, but it was so sweet. Tyler's mom said the boys were the best behaved children at the party. That made us so proud!!!

Another week

Our world keeps spinning, and here we are another Sunday has quickly come. Seems like all of the pictures should be blurry because life spins so fast lately....

The first picture is actually from 10 days ago (before my last post.) The kids had "Muffins with Moms" at school. I wanted to go, but was taking off the next day to leave for Illinois. I hated to take off two days in a row. Since Aunt Cindy went with them last year, I asked her if she would like to go again. She was happy to go, and you can tell from the picture that the kids were happy about it too!

We spent EVERY evening this week on the football sidelines. Chaille was so excited on Thursday to have our neighbor, Ainsley, there to play with:

Steve and I met at practice and Nolan wanted to ride home with his best buddy:

Friday night the boys all had GYFL night at the Greenfield Central varsity game. I took pictures of them on the field, but they were so far away that the quality was poor. Here is how Chaille enjoyed watching the game:

After we left the game, we met the Dye family at Dairy Queen and the boys enjoyed their own table:

Yesterday we had our normal Saturday morning, two football games. Nolan played on Papaw's phone with Gabe:

After the games, we headed to Randy and Deb's for the annual Picnic on the Farm. Steve's job is always driving the tractor for the hay ride. This means that the kids go for a lot of rides:

There are always a lot of politicians at the event. I enjoy seeing them in a setting where they are more "real people" than politicians. Here Congressman Luke Messer listens intently to one of his supporters. He talked a lot about Syria and how he is prayerfully choosing how to vote on the matter of a military strike. I loved hearing about how his faith is his guide. We need MORE Christian leaders in this country!!!

Labor Day traditions

This weekend we celebrated Labor Day with our annual traditions: girls weekend in Illinois, boys weekend camping. We had some hot weather, so the boys only camped one night. The second night they went and saw Planes. Chaille and I had a wonderful visit with the aunts and cousins. She was truly wonderful the entire weekend!

Friday, we started our time in Illinois with lunch at mcallisters and then shopping for Carolina's baby shower. Chaille and Nate made instant friends.

 We bought Chaille this shirt because she tells us this all the time:

After shopping, we went back to the hotel to swim before supper:

While we were there, I read a book to Chaille, and then Cindy read it to Brian:

Saturday we started with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Chaille chose a breakfast of champions, cocoa krispies and chocolate milk:

Before shopping at Gordmans and grocery shopping, Cindy and Brian goofed at the hotel:

We did our shopping and went to the grocery before the shower and a taco dinner out at Sharlenes. 

Sunday morning we got showered and headed for our farewell brunch at Cracker Barrel:
