This is the last "catch up" post from the past few weeks. The first group of pictures are from camping. We went over Avery's fall break with the Dotson and Moss families. They are really about the closest "family" that we have. We had such a great time and were sad when the weekend ended and we had to pack up and head home. Plus it was our last campout for the season :( Enjoy the pictures:
| Chaille has become a monkey! She climbed on everyone's chairs all weekend. Thank goodness for great friends who were always watching out for her :) |
| Mr. Wes took turns throwing the kids into a big pile of leaves that they had raked up. Avery was pretty cautious with it, but loved every minute of it. |
| Silas loved it too! This kid has no fear! |
| Avery and Steve enjoyed some fishing. The first day they didn't get any bites, but the second day they caught and released six fish! |
| Silas and I were walking back to the camper when I made him stop for a picture :O) |
| Beautiful Chaille in pigtails (and someone else's seat once again!) She actually left her pigtails in for a change here! |
| Silas and his beloved, puppy! |
| Nolan took a break for a snack. He was pretty busy all weekend! |
| Wes and Melissa. They are getting married in March. I'm so happy for them! Don't they make a cute couple? |
| Dave put this bag on Chaille's head. She thought it was HILARIOUS! A great picture of them both! |
| The fishermen return happy with their catches. |
| "Aunt" Sissy (aka Shelley) insisted that the kids get to trick or treat while we were camping. So, the kids each got a pumpkin bucket and went the the Moss', Dotson's, and Grandma and Grandpa's campers for treats. Chaille wouldn't keep her hat on, but they sure were cute in their costumes! |
| A self portrait. Steve is never impressed with me taking these, but he ALMOST smiled here! |
| On the trip back home, Silas fell asleep! It was a fun weekend, but not much sleep was had in our particular camper! |
I've got a few "random" pictures from here and there in here too:
| One morning last week Nolan was up and sitting on papaw's lap, when I went to get Chaille up for the morning. She came down the stairs saying "seat! seat!" She wouldn't sit with me. She HAD to have her papaw's lap too. So cute! |
| We were getting ready to go pick up Silas from school one morning when I headed towards the back door to find these two in each other's seats at the back door. It was such a genuine moment that I took a picture even though Chaille hadn't had her hair brushed yet! I think it is adorable! |
| Steve told Avery that he is getting just TOO big for piggy back rides to bed. They decided to have one LAST piggy back ride last week. Mom had to catch the last one in a picture. So bittersweet to watch your children grow up before your eyes. I'm proud of both of these "men!" |
I took a few pictures at Avery's school on Friday when I went with him for his Fall class party:
| Darth Vador (Colin) and Avery as a motorcross racer. |
| The mummy wrap game. |
| Lots of mummies in the group. They got very creative! |
| Look... Two little boys sitting quietly! But notice the rest of the class! The teacher is instructing behind them. OOPS! ;o) |
The remainder of the pictures are from the church's Harvest Party. We went on Friday night, and the kids had a GREAT time!
| Nolan on his first trip down the slide. He screamed in terror the whole way down and then exclaimed "THAT WAS FUN!" when he got to the bottom. He made several more trips on his own! |
| Chaille was smitten with this little dragon. Can you blame her? Tucker is quite the handsome young man! She chased him in circles and he just kept avoiding her! :O) |
| Can't seem to ever get EVERYONE smiling! |
| Chaille giggled nonstop when Tommy had her. He IS kind of goofy! ;o) LOL... |
| All she wanted to do all evening is eat suckers! When we got home her collar was stuck to her cheek from all of that nasty stickiness! |
| Silas wanted to be a puppy. But he was upset that it wore off overnight and he couldn't wear it that way to the anniversary party. Oh, the sweet innocence of a 5 year old! |
| Melissa was holding a friend's newborn. Chaille was really gentle with the baby, gently grabbing it's fingers! So sweet! |
