While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.

Daddy's girl
Chilled has been all about her dad lately. Tonight, long after she had been in bed, she heard her dads voice downstairs and she HAD to tell him goodnight. He had been in the garage fixing my van. I let her go out and tell him goodnight and she loved on him so much! I'm sharing pictures, pardon her "jammies"but she was hot so she wore panties to bed:

Pictures
I haven't been all that great about taking pictures lately!!! But... I'm upgrading my phone this coming week, and I want to blog these pictures before I upload them to my computer and them delete them.
Here are a few recent pictures, in random (posted from phone) order:

Learning
Chaille is really taking in the learning experience lately. This week, she was drawing letters on her own. She had drawn a capital E on her paper. So I asked her to draw a little "e" meaning lowercase. She hollered to me, "mom, I did it!" She DID make a little E, just not lowercase. Still... Not bad for a 3 year old!!!

The flu
It hasn't been a very "fun" week at the Frye household. I've had influenza a, and had to miss FOUR days of work. I spent two full days laid up in bed, which was miserable. The third day I felt a little better, and yesterday I finally felt significantly more like myself. Some lingering congestion remains. The pediatrician has put the kids on a preventative dose of tamiflu, and Steve had the flu shot this year, so hopefully no one else gets it (although I learned last night that grandma and grandpa frye already have it too.) It makes me sad that I've shared with them. We were down there Sunday before I knew I had it. I had just started in with mild symptoms while we were there. Anyway, I'm thankful to be feeling so much better! Here are some pictures from random moments from our week:
Pacers visit
The Pacers Organization comes and reads with the kids each year. Silas was the only one who fell into the age group (k-2) this year, and it so happened that he was the helper this year on the day hat they came. Here are some pictures of him holding the book with Angela Buchman (a local meterologist) and an IMPD officer, as well as one of me with Boomer. I took a picture with boomer last year too, so I decided I had to have another this year. Maybe it will become our tradition! Lol
Last Saturday
Last Saturday we went down for Grandma Shell's birthday party. The kids were so good, and we enjoyed finally meeting Maddie and Layton. And the big boys spent as much time "entertaining" Nick as anything. We just don't seem to make it down there often enough anymore!! Here are some pictures, mostly of the kids:

Five years old!
Happy Birthday, Little Bear!!! It is hard to believe that you are already FIVE years old. You are the gentlest spirit and such a loving young man. You melt our hearts daily with your sweet disposition and the way you put others before yourself. You are amazing. And we are so proud of you! Here are some pictures, past and present of you:
