A Day with the Great Grandparents

Today we went down to Great Grandma and Grandpa Frye's house.  The last couple of years I have helped them with putting up and taking down their Christmas tree.  This year we surprised them by bringing them a new tree, one that is prelit and easy to assemble!  While Avery and Silas went with Daddy to the woods, Nolan and Chaille watched/helped me and Grandma with the tree.  It turned out really pretty :O)

The finished product in the daylight!

Grandma and Nolan read books.  He LOVES to read books on Grandma's lap!

Such precious moments!

Grandma had this card that Avery had made.  I had not seen it, but he did a GREAT job.  This is the front of the card.

And this is what he wrote on the inside (all on his own!!!)

Avery checking out the ornaments on the tree.

Silas "reading" a book.  He's learning!

Grandpa and his "shadow," Chaille.  She thinks this man walks on water!

Daddy's HAT!  Oh how she adores his hats.

More conversation between these buddies.

Silas camped out among grandma's books and right in front of the television!

Avery enjoyed his DS for a while.

They make each other laugh. This friendship is truly priceless!

The tree at dark!  I think it turned out beautifully!

The kids all had candy cane.  Chaille is making her CHEESE face with candy cane all over it!

Messy, candy cane face!

Silas enjoyed his too.  And he was excited that grandma signed his cast!

Everyone had one!  Even Avery.

Avery was showing Grandma how to play his DS.

I had to add this one to show how long Chaille's hair is getting.  It is so curly that you don't realize just how long it is until yolu give her a bath and it goes straight.  Her hair is growing SO fast!
